As well as doing my training schedule I also do 'geo-caching', when I get the opportunity. It's great going for a walk with a definite purpose, a challenge and some excitement. I have to feel around for the 'geo-caches', never knowing what i might find, but usually it's my walking companion that actually finds them. At the moment we have a 'trackable travel bug' which is a ladybird, and we will find it a new home at the week-end.
I have registered to do a fundraising event to support Guide Dogs. I am going to drive (hopefully!). I have never driven before having lost my sight as a teenager. www.justgiving.com/goingforwardhopefully
I will let you know how I get on. My wife says that I am a terrible back seat driver, and that if I did drive I would be a 'road raging menace'. I don't know what she means, as I think I would be better than her!!
